  1. Windows: The latest version is windows 11. It has easy-to-use features and is compatible with most devices. It is ideal for study and work purposes.

  3. Linux: It is an open-source operating system and supports a wide range of programming languages. It is very secure and does not compromise on its performance.
  • Screen Size: The standard size is 15 inches. However, the size affects battery life, weight, and features. A laptop with a 13-14 inch screen is usually more portable.
  • Screen: A full HD screen is preferred.
  • RAM: The laptop must have at least 4GB RAM and a minimum of 156GB of storage.

RAM is the short-term memory of a device. It lets you work with data that is necessary for you to run various applications. Opting for more RAM is always a good idea, but do choose according to your necessities.

  • Is the Windows operating system better than that of DOS?

DOS is a single-tasking operating system meant for advanced users and programmers. A Single-task operator means that although it consumes less power and memory, it does not support multimedia like games, videos, and music. DOS allows any OS to be installed on top, like Linux (free & used mostly by coders).  Windows (by Microsoft), on the other hand, does consume a higher amount of memory but it supports multimedia and makes the laptop easy to use thanks to its many features. So, if you are looking for a laptop to watch movies, record, code, and do a lot more, choosing Windows might be a better option for you. Do note that laptops with Windoes cost more, but its cheaper than buying a DOS laptop and then installing

Different types of CPUs have varied functions. The most powerful CPUs are often found in gaming laptops. However, Intel and AMD are manufacturing some of the best processors for laptops.
